I recently got back from a trip to the West Coast of America and saw some amazing places. It's no surprise that Vegas has been the venue for so many films, books and songs over the years - it's so unique, like a character in its own right. And it does seem to attract the most 'unique' personalities! The Grand Canyon is awe inspiring. I got some stunning photos there - got to be the most photogenic place on the planet. But my vote for this category has to go to the city of Rome. All of that history, style, charm and the feeling that you're in a film just walking round. I wrote a play called Postcards From Rome after visiting the city, it was adapted into a radio play called Blood Games at the Colosseum. If anyone needs inspiration for creativity then Rome would be the place for me. For the same reasons, closer to home I'd choose London. Arguably as iconic as Rome, not the weather or the style I admit but certainly a place with plenty of stories to tell, which is why it's attracted so many writers and artists over the years.

Got to be Marrakesh in Morocco. Walking round the souks is like going back in time. There's a film with Kate Winslett called Hideous Kinky which was filmed there and captures some of the atmosphere. Also the song Marrakesh Express of course which CSNY fans will know.
